Software Engineer Interview Experience - Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

February 4, 2025
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I went through the entire process.

Step 1: Intro Zoom chat with the team lead.

Then, three technical interviews on-site:

  • Design + LeetCode. The design questions were DB-oriented, and the LeetCode questions were 'find min in the stack in O(1)' and 'LRU Cache'.

After the three technical interviews, I had an interview with the R&D director and HR.

After more than a week with no response, I reached out to them. It took them a while to respond, but they ultimately informed me they wouldn't be extending an offer. It was really disrespectful that they kept me waiting for such a long time to give me a response.

Questions

Implement min stack in O(1).

Implement LRU Cache in O(1).

What is TTL? How to transfer data from CSV to DB in a useful way? Use a rate limiter to limit queries to the DB.

Implement a query where you can only use INSERT, but to the user, it seems like you can do DELETE, UPDATE, and TRUNCATE.
