Description For Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The role involves hands-on experience in configuring Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Fabric services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure cloud services and a solid understanding of cloud operations best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure and services in Azure, including the setup and maintenance of Azure Data Factory.
  • Develop and implement cloud solutions, focusing on data integration and workflow management using Azure Data Factory.
  • Ensure cloud environments are secure and comply with industry and regulatory standards, particularly for data handling and processing.
  • Monitor cloud services and infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost optimization, with specific attention to data workflows.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) for infrastructure provisioning and management, as well as for orchestrating data flows.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into software applications, particularly for data-driven applications utilizing Azure Data Factory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure Data Factory and other cloud components.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in cloud computing and data integration.
  • Follow an approval process for new requests

Responsibilities For Azure Cloud Engineer

Requirements For Azure Cloud Engineer

Python
  • Min 5+ years of experience in managing and operating Microsoft Azure environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Azure, including hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services like Azure VMs, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure DevOps, and specifically Azure Data Factory
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python, and familiarity with data integration scripting in Azure Data Factory
  • Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools and how they apply to data workflows
  • Understanding of networking and security concepts related to cloud computing and data management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Relevant certifications in Azure, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, are highly desirable
  • Experience with Jira and support ticket processes
  • Excellent communication skills with an attention to detail
