Description For Product Security Engineer

Adobe Security is seeking a Product Security Engineer to help build secure infrastructure for cloud-scale deployments. This role combines strong security principles with practical automation and implementation, focusing on protecting Adobe's cloud services.

The position involves designing and implementing security controls for public endpoints using technologies like AWS WAF, Akamai Kona, CloudFront, and Azure Front Door. You'll be responsible for creating automated security solutions through Terraform/CDK modules and GitHub Actions, enabling product teams to implement security controls efficiently.

Key responsibilities include real-time exploit detection, emergency WAF rule deployment, and rapid mitigation implementation. You'll work with log analysis and threat intelligence, streaming data to security lakes for enhanced monitoring and metrics tracking.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience. Strong coding skills in languages like Go, Python, or TypeScript are required, along with experience in cloud-native development practices.

Responsibilities For Product Security Engineer

  • Design, codify, and improve WAF, CDN, and L7 load-balancer policies for public endpoints
  • Ship Terraform/CDK modules and GitHub Actions gates for security controls
  • Detect exploit traffic and deploy emergency WAF rules within 30 minutes
  • Stream edge logs to data lakes and enrich with threat intel
  • Partner with Platform, Product, and SecOps engineers
  • Run POCs on emerging edge-security tech
  • Provide guidance during investigations and coordinate mitigation
