This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of their autonomous ground support equipment (AGSE) through comprehensive testing and validation.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of autonomous vehicles and aviation, focusing on transforming ground handling operations for major airlines and service providers. As a Systems Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading testing activities for self-driving vehicles in airport environments, working with cutting-edge technology including LiDAR, radar, and camera systems.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in vehicle testing or embedded systems, with a strong background in computer science or engineering. Responsibilities For AV Systems Test Engineer

  • Drive V&V of dependable safety-critical systems for AGSE in airport driving environment
  • Develop and maintain test plans and protocols for evaluating AV system performance
  • Provide artifacts to verify and validate requirements and inform deployment decisions
  • Execute manual and automated test cases in closed course and live environments
  • Operate and monitor AVs in various driving modes
  • Collect and analyze diagnostics, sensor streams, and incident data
  • Work cross-functionally to report issues and identify root causes
  • Build and maintain scripts and tools for test automation
  • Participate in triage and contribute to release-readiness analysis
  • Mentor engineers in test-driven development

Requirements For AV Systems Test Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle testing, embedded systems, and/or robotics
  • Familiarity with automotive/AV test procedures
  • Experience with structured test processes and automation
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical thinking abilities
  • Proximity to Atlanta, open to travel up to 25%
