Claims System Lead Developer

AIG is seeking a Claims System Lead Developer to spearhead their Claims Systems Transformation program in Japan. This key leadership role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, requiring 10+ years of IT delivery experience and deep knowledge of P&C insurance in the Claims domain. The position involves managing development teams, modernizing claims systems, and implementing future-proof solutions based on modern architecture design.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, along with Japanese language proficiency (N3 or above) and business-level English fluency. Technical requirements include expertise in modern IT architecture, development methodologies, automation, Open API frameworks, and relational databases. Experience with mainframe systems and low-code modernized workflow engines is advantageous.

As a leader in this role, you'll be responsible for end-to-end claims IT systems modernization, collaborating across multiple domains including Billing, PAS, and Front-End systems. The position demands strong leadership qualities, excellent team building skills, and the ability to manage large teams effectively. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, and operate credibly with senior business leaders.
