Airbus CRISA, a leading Spanish company in space electronics, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join their team in Madrid. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge space projects including Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), and Commercial Telecommunications Satellites. The position involves comprehensive electronic equipment development, from requirements analysis to final flight model delivery. You'll be part of either the Power, Analog, or Digital team, working on state-of-the-art product development and innovation.

The role combines technical expertise with project management aspects, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities For Hardware Design Engineer

  • Support analysis of project requirements
  • Perform architecture analysis at electronic function or module level
  • Conduct detailed electronics design based on electrical simulations
  • Ensure design robustness through various analyses (part stress, worst case, failure modes)
  • Support radiation team for space environment compatibility
  • Document design specifications
  • Conduct laboratory and prototype testing
  • Support mechanical and thermal design
  • Review PCB layout
  • Define board test procedures
  • Participate in project reviews
  • Support test team for flight equipment acceptance
  • Resolve non-conformance issues during testing campaigns

Requirements For Hardware Design Engineer

  • Master's degree in engineering or science discipline
  • Experience in Power, Analog or Digital electronics development
  • Experience with advanced laboratory instrumentation
  • Knowledge of space application design methodologies and tools (Mentor, LTSPice, Matlab, SIMetrix-SIMPLIS)
  • Strong mathematical background for electronic design analysis
  • Mid-level English and Spanish proficiency
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Strong team working abilities
  • Independent and accurate work approach
