ADC FOC Systems Engineer, ADC FOC

Amazon Data Services is seeking a Systems Engineer for their Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Facility Operations Center (FOC). This role is crucial for ensuring 24/7 monitoring and reporting of data center physical infrastructure.

The position involves managing medium to high-impact projects from conception to completion, focusing on global continuity in tooling, automation, and reporting across multiple FOC instances. The role requires both independent work and collaboration with internal/external support groups, including engineering and automation teams.

Key responsibilities include training FOC engineers in Cloud Services and AI, developing automation solutions to reduce manual work, creating performance dashboards, and owning tools to enhance customer experience. The position requires obtaining and maintaining an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong technical expertise in scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Java, SQL)
• Be experienced with AWS services (CloudWatch, CloudFormation, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS)
• Possess excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts
• Have proven project management experience
• Be capable of working independently while collaborating with various teams

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $83,100 to $185,000 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, 401k, and career development opportunities.
