Amazon's Transportation Engineering Systems Team (TESS) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer I to join their dynamic team. This role combines data analysis, business intelligence, and strategic decision-making to drive improvements in Amazon's transportation systems. You'll work with large datasets, develop crucial metrics, and create impactful visualizations that influence business decisions. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer I, TESS

  • Own the design, development, maintenance of metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards
  • Write high quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data
  • Propose, define and align leaders on metrics to track business performance
  • Formulate analytical business problem statements and present insights
  • Establish new, scalable, efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting
  • Work with program managers, business owners and leadership on critical business initiatives
  • Enable effective decision making through data aggregation and analysis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer I, TESS

Python
  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with industry analytics visualization tools and statistical methods
  • Experience with scripting language (Python, Java, or R)
