Join Amazon's Network Design Planning & Engineering (NDPE) analytics team as a Business Intelligence Engineer II, where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing Amazon's vast transportation network. In this role, you'll collaborate with diverse teams including data engineers, program managers, and data scientists across multiple organizations like ATS LH, SCOT, APEX, TESS, and others. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer II, Network Design Planning & Engineering (NDPE)

  • Design and develop sophisticated data models that recommend network design improvements
  • Create dynamic, interactive data visualizations and mapping solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement scalable BI solutions
  • Drive consensus on data sources and methodologies for metric calculations
  • Develop automated tools to streamline manual processes and improve data integrity
  • Quantify process improvements and help identify root causes of defects
  • Document and present BI solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer II, Network Design Planning & Engineering (NDPE)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python)
  • Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau
