Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Logistics Learning & Development Product Science & Analytics team. This role represents an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Amazon Logistics through data-driven insights and strategic initiatives. Working in one of the world's largest data warehouse environments, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing automated reporting systems and dashboards using complex datasets.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, NA AMZL L&D Product Science & Analytics

  • Develop complex queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards
  • Design, implement, and support key datasets
  • Interface directly with stakeholders, gathering requirements and owning automated end-to-end reporting solutions
  • Partner with analysts, data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and software development engineers
  • Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities
  • Learn and understand Amazon's data resources
  • Estimate models, write analyses, and extract insights and provide business recommendations

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, NA AMZL L&D Product Science & Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
