Join Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) team as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where you'll tackle complex technical challenges to enhance customer experience through data-driven solutions. This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing Amazon's supply chain metrics and inventory management systems.

You'll work at the intersection of data analytics and business strategy, utilizing advanced tools and technologies to process large-scale data and derive actionable insights. The position requires expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and statistical analysis, using tools like SQL, Python, and various visualization platforms.

As a BI Engineer, you'll collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to improve key metrics such as SoROOS and Local-In-Stock, ensuring optimal inventory management throughout the year. You'll be responsible for developing sophisticated analytical models and dashboards that drive business decisions and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, SCOT - Automated Inventory Management

  • Analyze and synthesize large data streams across multiple systems/inputs
  • Work with Product Managers to understand customer behaviors, spot system defects, and benchmark our ability to serve our customers
  • Develop business insights basis data extraction, data analytics, trend deduction & Pattern recognition
  • Present business insights to senior management/executives
  • Create advanced dashboard to help teams consume insights and track progress
  • Build analytical models that can help improve business outcomes at scale

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, SCOT - Automated Inventory Management

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
