AWS Cloud Support Engineer - Analytics will work with a wide range of customers, from small startups to large enterprises, providing professional technical advice. Customers will consult you about their plans and problems through various channels including phone, email, and instant messaging. You'll need to use your expertise to dive deep into cases, find root causes, and fully understand each customer's needs and considerations to help them achieve their goals and become a reliable and indispensable partner.
At AWS, we face new challenges every day and learn new technologies, understanding how AWS cloud services are applied to customers of different industries and scales, and encountering diverse use cases. You'll collaborate with internal AWS teams to provide the best experience for customers' cloud journey, including Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development Managers. You'll also have the opportunity to work on projects with world-class Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and AWS Service Development Teams.
In addition to handling technical issues of varying depth and breadth, Cloud Engineers can develop or guide training courses, write technical articles, serve as speakers in operational videos, attend AWS events, participate in recruitment processes, write tools/scripts, or move up to process improvement and strategy development. At AWS, your contributions can have a significant impact on colleagues and customers globally.
We focus on work productivity and flexibility. The Cloud Engineering team follows a follow-the-sun model, with no on-call or on-site customer requirements. Your working hours will be scheduled on weekdays (Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, or Sunday to Thursday), working during the day or slightly later hours, with night shifts handed over to teams in other countries.
This role focuses on analytics technologies, and you will work with customers using AWS Services including Kinesis, OpenSearch, MSK, QuickSight, Redshift, and more. All Cloud Engineers need to understand networking concepts such as network layers (the OSI model), IP connectivity, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, and how to troubleshoot common connection issues.
