Description For Cloud Support Engineer (Analytics)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the market leader and technology forerunner in the Cloud business. As a Cloud Support Engineer (Analytics), you will be at the forefront of transformational technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers taking advantage of AWS services. You'll act as a 'Cloud Ambassador' across all cloud products, helping customers get the most out of their Product and Support investment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Learning and using groundbreaking technologies
  • Applying advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Interacting with leading engineers worldwide
  • Partnering with AWS teams to resolve customer issues
  • Providing feedback to improve AWS services
  • Driving customer communication during critical events
  • Working on projects to improve support processes
  • Creating technical content for the developer community
  • Solving complex customer problems across multiple AWS services

The role involves primarily solving customer cases through various channels (phone, email, web/live chat), applying advanced troubleshooting techniques, and diving deep into root causes. You may also coach new hires, develop training, partner with development teams, participate in hiring, write tools/scripts, and work on process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, RabbitMQ)
  • Knowledge of Elastic Stack and OpenSearch APIs
  • Experience in Business Analytics application support and troubleshooting
  • System Administration skills with Linux and/or Windows Server
  • Networking and troubleshooting expertise
  • Experience with Apache Flink and Apache Spark
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer support experience
  • Cloud Computing concept understanding
  • Scripting/development skills in Python, R, Ruby, GO, Java, .NET, or JavaScript
  • Understanding of distributed systems
  • Database fundamentals and troubleshooting experience
