As a Data Center Manager at Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL), you will manage the world's largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in India. This role involves managing and developing teams of engineers, maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers, helping build and bring online new Data Centers, and constantly improving processes and procedures. You will be responsible for managing relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to local Health & Safety standards, creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centers, and implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing teams of high-performing engineers
- Maintaining and improving Data Center operations
- Building and launching new Data Centers
- Process improvement and optimization
- Vendor and contractor relationship management
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards
- Metrics creation and utilization for positive changes
- Implementing various service management methodologies
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services
- 7+ years of experience in DC Operations, IT Operations, or similar roles
- 3+ years building and managing strong, successful technical teams
- Proven track record in incident management, vendor management, and process improvement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in delivering complex projects
- Ability to consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment

- Managing and developing teams of engineers

Requirements For Data Center Manager, Data Center Operations
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services
- 7+ years of relevant experience in DC Operations, IT Operations or similar roles
- 3+ years building & managing strong, successful technical teams
- Incident Management Experience
- Vendor Management Experience
- Process Improvement Experience
- High degree of organization and detail-orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects
- Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team and/or product
- Ability to consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions
