Description For Data Center Security Manager (Individual Contributor)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Security Manager to join their expanding Infrastructure Operations team. This role is crucial for driving operational security excellence across multiple facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and addressing physical security gaps and shortcomings
  • Interfacing with and directing vendors involved in security operations
  • Extracting metrics and analyzing data to observe improvements
  • Suggesting improvements for electronic surveillance and access controls
  • Implementing security processes and procedures
  • Writing reports and creating presentations for management

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years overseeing security operations and personnel
  • 2+ years of experience in security patrolling and reporting
  • 2+ years of experience working with security vendors and contractors

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with access control and video surveillance software applications
  • Experience in facility security gap observation
  • Experience in investigating security incidents
  • Strong report writing skills
