Responsibilities For Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, SYD Colo DCEO

  • Manage routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems
  • Install new rack capacity and provision power/cooling
  • Manage on-site contractors and vendors
  • Establish performance benchmarks and prepare reports
  • Generate change management requests and incident management tickets
  • Collaborate with data center IT managers on operations and projects
  • Drive projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, and reliability
  • Provide site presence 5 days a week within business hours
  • Perform troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events
  • Maintain uptime through operational readings and performance indicators

Requirements For Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, SYD Colo DCEO

Linux
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in facilities management, maintaining a datacenter or critical space facility
  • Experience with physical security protocol awareness and adherence
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web browser-based applications
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and climbing ladders
  • Willingness to be on-call for 24/7 support
