Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer, India

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer to join their team in Mumbai, India. This role is part of the team that owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure - essentially keeping the cloud running.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with AWS's massive cloud computing infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, and cooling equipment. As a Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining high system reliability, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include deep diving into Linux server issues, XEN service virtualization troubleshooting, handling systems and network hardware problems, and participating in data center power & cooling events. You'll also be involved in installing and configuring racks of hosts, managing trouble tickets, and serving as a point of contact for high-severity issues.

The role requires a strong technical background with at least 2 years of computer hardware troubleshooting experience and 1 year of networking experience. You'll need to be comfortable working in a 24x7 on-call rotation and handling pressure situations effectively. Experience in data center operations is preferred.
