Data Engineer II, eCS Data Engineering and Analytics

Amazon's eCommerce Services (eCS) team is seeking a Data Engineer II to join their Data Engineering and Analytics team. This role is integral to Amazon's eCommerce infrastructure, which handles hundreds of billions in annual revenue. The position focuses on building data engineering solutions that process critical business and customer data across the full spectrum of eCommerce functionality.

The eCS team manages crucial aspects of the customer lifecycle, from account creation and sign-in to shopping cart management, checkout, order processing, and post-fulfillment operations. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting DW solutions for the Enterprise using multiple platforms, working with extremely large datasets, and designing scalable ETL processes.

The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS technologies including Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, and Lambda, as well as internal BDT tools. You'll be instrumental in improving existing solutions and developing next-generation Data Architecture to enhance scale, quality, timeliness, coverage, monitoring, and security.

Key responsibilities include developing data products and pipelines, creating new data models, and implementing Data Governance strategies. You'll work closely with business analysts and engineers to design optimal data warehouse solutions for reporting and analytics. The position requires strong technical skills in data engineering and SQL, combined with excellent communication abilities.
