AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation. The Engineering Operations Technician role involves:
- Assisting in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
- Performing site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
- Acting as a Facilities First Responder to critical events.
- Supporting new and existing data center facilities with minimal supervision.
Key skills and responsibilities include:
- Problem-solving through root-cause elimination
- Trouble-shooting complex issues
- Maintaining service level agreements (SLAs)
- Following procedures and system documentation
- Prioritizing in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Taking ownership of technical issues
- Collaborating with other support teams

Basic Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or similar technical focus
