Description For Engineering Operations Technician (Data Centers)

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation.

As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will:

  • Assist in operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
  • Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems.
  • Act as a Facilities First Responder to critical events.
  • Support new and existing data center facilities.

  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issues
  • Maintaining service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Following procedures and system documentation
  • Prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Taking ownership of technical issues
  • Collaborating with other support teams
