Mech Colo Regional Engineer, Colo Regional Engineering

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for a Mechanical Colo Regional Engineer in Beijing/Langfang to provide full life-cycle support to Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing designs for new Data Centers
• Acting as resident engineer during construction projects
• Troubleshooting and conducting Root Cause Analysis
• Supporting operational issues and providing technical support
• Interfacing with various teams to promote standards
• Initiating and leading engineering site audits

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong engineering judgment
• Detail and data orientation
• Experience managing engineering projects and consultants
• Ability to build trust with different stakeholders
• Inclination to work in the field

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities
• Ability to read, interpret, and create construction documents

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience as a resident engineer or hands-on design consultant
• Ownership of fast-track design/build projects
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers
• Knowledge of continuous operating redundant systems
