Description For Non-Destructive Testing Engineer, DCC Communities

We are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Non-Destructive Testing Engineer to join our growing Operations Services team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role is critical in maintaining and testing data center critical systems, including power distribution, mechanical, plumbing, building automation, structural, and other equipment supporting critical operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying non-destructive testing techniques to install, maintain, and troubleshoot all data center critical systems
  • Acting as a safety ambassador and promoting safe working practices
  • Ensuring compliance with security protocols
  • Interacting with various team members and maintaining good working relationships
  • Executing predictive and preventive maintenance programs
  • Providing support for planned and unplanned outages

The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and has significant experience in supporting critical infrastructure. They should be able to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.

Requirements For Non-Destructive Testing Engineer, DCC Communities

  • 1+ year of experience in data center or mission-critical facility operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical discipline
  • Military or trade school training (as an alternative to the degree)
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Proficiency in identifying safety concerns and maintaining a secure work environment
  • Compliance with NFPA 70E guidelines
