Programmer Analyst, REALM, REALM

The REALM Team in Hyderabad is seeking a System Dev Engineer/DevOps to provide first-level support for 100+ different services in Amazon Transportation Technology. This role involves troubleshooting production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, and implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java). Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as first-level support for production software application issues
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software problems
• Developing monitoring solutions and performing software maintenance
• Implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java)
• Performing SQL queries and resolving technical challenges
• Working with development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects
• Automating support processes and documenting systems
• Identifying potential problems and implementing preventive solutions
• Prioritizing projects and improving customer experience

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They must be able to work independently, maintain professionalism under pressure, and make sound judgments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact production issues, often requiring coordination between multiple Development, Operations, and IT Support groups. It provides exposure to a wide range of Amazon's transportation systems and the chance to directly impact customer experience.

The position involves leveraging various technologies to increase global collaboration, improve efficiency, and meet controller ship requirements. The engineer will work closely with development teams to enhance applications through technical mitigations and deep dives into reported issues.
