Security Engineer, AWS Cloud Security Response

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Cloud Security Response team, where security is considered job zero. This role is crucial in protecting AWS Cloud services and operates on the AWS side of the Shared Responsibility Model to safeguard customers. The position combines tactical incident response with strategic thinking to drive automation and scalability improvements.

The role involves working with both internal and external stakeholders to address security challenges at massive scale. You'll be responsible for triaging security issues, determining risk levels, and coordinating with service teams for remediation. The position requires excellent communication skills to interact with various audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership including the AWS CISO.

As part of the AWS Security Operations team, you'll work in a follow-the-sun model across four geographical locations.
