Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, EU Defects

Amazon's Operations team is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead data analysis and insight generation efforts for the Defects Reduction program across Europe and North America. This role sits at the intersection of operations, analytics, and technology, focusing on improving customer experience by optimizing the complex movement of goods throughout Amazon's supply chain.

The position requires a unique blend of analytical prowess and business acumen, with responsibilities split between data analytics (80%) and stakeholder/project management (20%). You'll work with fulfillment centers, transportation, finance, and retail teams worldwide to assess impactful defects and implement improvement plans.

As a Senior BI Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing advanced metrics and reporting capabilities, transforming complex data into actionable insights, and performing deep-dive analyses using large-scale SQL databases (>10TB). You'll collaborate with data science teams and software developers to design innovative solutions for defect reduction.

The role offers significant visibility and impact, with regular interaction with senior leadership. You'll be part of a team obsessed with reaching zero defects across end-to-end operations, working on strategic initiatives that directly impact customer experience and operational efficiency.
