Amazon's Last Mile delivery operation is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their UTR Tech team. This role is part of Amazon Logistics' (AMZL) delivery network, where packages are received from Fulfillment Centers and Sort Centers, then sorted and prepared for final delivery to customers. The Station Tech team builds scalable tools and technology for delivery hubs that work across multiple programs including Amazon Logistics and Global Specialty Fulfillment.
The role focuses on developing solutions to increase associate productivity, site throughput, and operational quality in the delivery network. You'll work on tools used by delivery station associates, station managers, central operations teams, and delivery agents. The UTR Tech organization specifically supports all delivery stations in the network, handling package receiving, routing, and Cash on Delivery reconciliations through their mobile-based Dolphin application.
As an SDE-2, you'll be expected to provide technical leadership, helping establish technical standards and drive Amazon's overall technical architecture. You'll work on complex problems, building high-quality, architecturally sound systems that align with business needs. The role requires both hands-on coding and high-level architectural design skills, with a focus on building scalable solutions that work well within Amazon's global fulfillment network.
This position offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that enables Amazon's worldwide delivery capabilities, directly impacting millions of customer deliveries daily. You'll be part of a team that's essential to Amazon's last-mile delivery success, working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
