Description For Software Development Engineer, UTR Tech in Last Mile

Amazon's Last Mile delivery network is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the UTR Tech team within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). This role focuses on building scalable tools and technology for delivery hubs that operate across multiple programs including AMZL and Global Specialty Fulfilment. The team develops solutions to increase associate productivity, site throughput, and operational quality in the delivery network.

As an SDE-2, you'll be responsible for developing systems that support delivery station associates, station managers, central operations teams, and on-road delivery agents. The role involves creating tools and processes that reduce cognitive load, standardize operations, and prioritize high-impact tasks to meet customer SLAs.

The position offers the opportunity to work on critical last-mile delivery infrastructure, specifically on the Dolphin mobile application used for execution operations in delivery stations. You'll be part of a team that handles the complex logistics of package sorting and delivery preparation across Amazon's worldwide delivery hubs.

This is a technical leadership role where you'll help establish engineering standards while building scalable, high-performing systems. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development skills with architectural vision, translating business requirements into practical technology solutions.
