Software Development Engineer(Android), Fire TV Experience

Join the Berlin-based Fire TV team at Amazon, where we're building essential device components that enhance user interaction with Fire TV devices. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be part of a 50+ member team that owns both client and service implementations across multiple domain areas. The team is responsible for developing features that help Fire TV maintain its position as a global leader in entertainment.

You'll work on implementing core components of a product used daily by millions of customers worldwide. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to contribute to key Fire TV technology, with the team having almost complete cross-functional ownership of components and roadmap based in Berlin. While the team maintains close collaboration with partner teams and relies on Seattle for UX support, it operates with significant autonomy.

The position involves working in an Agile development environment, where you'll participate in the full software development lifecycle. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing features across all types of Fire TV devices (TVs, Sticks, Cubes, and others), with a focus on continuously improving the customer experience.

The Berlin branch of the Fire TV organization offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse, talented team while having significant impact on a globally-used product. The local leadership team provides direct management and support, empowering the team to deliver worldwide-spanning features for the Fire TV platform.
