Job Description

Join Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Inbound data science team as a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, where you'll work on optimizing the inbound supply chain that handles billions of products from sellers worldwide. You'll be responsible for generating crucial business insights from hundreds of terabytes of data to influence product and policy decisions. The role combines advanced data analysis, pipeline building, and dashboard creation to drive data-driven decision making.

Working with the FBA Inbound analytics and data engineering team, you'll leverage your expertise in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis to create robust reporting systems and self-service dashboards. You'll partner directly with product teams to optimize trade-offs among cost, speed, and network capacity utilization.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $117,300 to $202,800 per year, depending on location, plus additional benefits including equity and comprehensive medical coverage. You'll be based in Bellevue, WA, working with Amazon's world-class engineering teams.

  • 6+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
  • Bachelors Degree
