Sr. Security Engineer, Defensive Security, Corporate Services Security (CPSS)

As a Senior Security Engineer in the Defensive Security team at Amazon's Corporate Services Security (CPSS) organization, you will play a pivotal role in integrating threat intelligence data into security detections, developing cross-organizational tooling, and providing undifferentiated fraud emulation, detection, and response capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering security automation to support security event operations and threat emulation activities
• Developing custom tooling supporting fraud detection capabilities
• Operationalizing raw threat intelligence data to enable informed risk assessments of customer platforms
• Partnering with internal teams to drive key engineering and business decisions impacting security
• Assisting in the improvement of operational excellence for customer's business and technical teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• Experience conducting threat modeling, identifying system security vulnerabilities, and implementing remediation techniques

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience architecting, securing, and operating Amazon Web Services
• Experience working with development teams that have delivered commercial software or software-based services
• Experience with common security monitoring, log analysis, and forensic tools

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year to $247,600/year, depending on the geographic market and job-related factors.
