Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Simulation Foundations

Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative by Amazon to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). This senior software engineering role focuses on building critical infrastructure for satellite simulation and testing.

As a Sr. Software Dev Engineer in the Simulation Foundations team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable distributed systems that enable Kuiper to operate within realistic virtual environments at scale. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies and apply best-in-industry software engineering practices to build systems that are crucial for testing and validating satellite operations before deployment.

The role combines deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and API design with leadership responsibilities. You'll be building low-latency, highly scalable architecture that directly impacts the quality of internet service delivered to customers worldwide. Key technical areas include containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, microservices, and comprehensive testing frameworks covering virtualized infrastructure and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
