AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and several other AWS teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. You will engage with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable and cost-effective cloud native architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions
- Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support
The ideal candidate should have:
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries
- Strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions
- Broad competence across infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and analytics
- Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
