Description For Support Engineer III, REALM

The REALM Team in Hyderabad is seeking a Support Engineer/DevOps professional to serve as first-level support for production software application issues across 100+ services in Amazon Transportation Technology. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration, and implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently under pressure. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging and developing technologies to enhance global collaboration and efficiency
  • Collaborating with development teams to improve applications through technical mitigations and deep dives
  • Working with technical teams to ensure effective design across platform stacks
  • Developing proactive detection mechanisms for software performance issues
  • Building tools and automations to optimize systems and simplify processes

The role requires at least 2 years of software development or technical support experience, proficiency in modern programming languages, and experience in troubleshooting and debugging technical systems. Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development is preferred, along with experience in hardware & software RAID maintenance and REST web services, XML, and JSON.
