System Development Engineer, AWS Vetting

AWS Vetting is pioneering the development of massively scalable systems used by the world's largest cloud infrastructures. The team builds platforms and tools that ensure the health of AWS hardware by verifying and authenticating every new and rebuilt system across all AWS data centers and manufacturing sites. This platform enables service owners such as EC2, EBS, S3, and others to deliver healthy servers for their service to production.

As a System Development Engineer in the AWS Vetting team, you'll be responsible for building the next generation of platform-level software and systems that enables delivery of healthy hardware to AWS customers. You'll work with senior AWS leadership to plan for the future and own AWS Vetting Foundational Services deployed to AWS Data Centers and Manufacturing sites.

The role requires deep technical expertise in systems architecture and design, with a focus on customer experience and outcomes. Success in this position demands autonomous work, the ability to dive deep into problems, and good judgment about when to make subtle changes versus when to disrupt the status quo.
