Systems Development Engineer, AWS

AWS Region Services is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their team in building software, systems, services, and infrastructure that enable Amazon teams worldwide. This role is part of the AWS technology ecosystem, where you'll work with technology leaders committed to customer delight. You'll own the architecture for next-generation custom security solutions and collaborate with experts across the company.

The position is within AWS Utility Computing (UC), which provides foundational services like S3 and EC2, along with continuous product innovations. You'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services, including specialized security solutions for cloud services.

Key responsibilities include defining hardware requirements, developing system health monitoring and automation tools, improving operations management systems, and participating in production acceptance testing. The role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and involves on-call duties.

The compensation package includes a base salary range of $136,100 to $235,200 depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
