Systems Engineer, AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. This role involves implementing innovative cloud computing solutions, solving complex technical problems, and contributing to the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS
• Troubleshooting customer issues and investigating metrics
• Implementing Operational Excellence best practices and automating manual processes
• Utilizing Linux skills for troubleshooting and innovation
• Applying networking knowledge to identify and resolve connectivity issues
• Collaborating with team members and communicating clearly

The ideal candidate will have:

• Working knowledge of Linux system administration
• Experience with systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc.
• Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
• Strong troubleshooting skills at all levels (application, network, host)
• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
• Exposure to cloud computing concepts and design considerations (preferred)
• Knowledge of configuration management systems like Puppet, Chef, Ansible (preferred)
