Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer 2025)

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. We're hiring for the Mechanical Engineering Department in Costa Mesa, CA, seeking highly motivated hands-on engineers for a 12-week internship.

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you'll: • Apply first principles physics to every decision • Perform analysis, design, build, and/or test hardware for significant projects • Present design reviews and travel to test sites and vendors as needed

Required Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • Rising senior returning to school after the internship • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication or laboratory skills • High competence with engineering first principles • U.S. Person status for export-controlled data access • Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in Costa Mesa, CA

Preferred Qualifications: • Collegiate project team or laboratory experience • Prior internship or leadership experience • Experience with NX/Teamcenter, Solidworks, FEA, and/or CFD analysis tools • Ability to integrate electrical components into designs • Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and/or 3D printing
