Job Description

Apex Fintech Solutions (AFS) is seeking a Software Engineer I to join their Apex Leadership & Development Program (ALDP), a specialized early-career program designed for recent graduates. This cohort-based program begins with a 6-8 week intensive cross-functional training, focusing on both financial services industry knowledge and technical skills. The role is based in Austin, Texas, with a hybrid work arrangement.

As a Software Engineer I, you'll work with modern technologies including Java, Go, Python, and cloud platforms, while building resilient, scalable services. The position offers hands-on experience in developing production systems, implementing CI/CD processes, and working with monitoring tools like DataDog. You'll be mentored by senior engineers and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer I (ALDP)

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Work with languages/frameworks such as Java, Go, Python, and technologies like RDBMS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Learn from and apply design techniques and coding standards coached by Senior Engineers
  • Build resilient, self-scaling, self-healing services
  • Support production systems with CI/CD processes and monitoring tools
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews
  • Participate in training to develop technical and financial domain knowledge

Requirements For Software Engineer I (ALDP)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, Go, or C#)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with RDBMS and modern software development practices
  • Ability to start early July 2026
