As a Cellular Layer 1 Control Firmware Engineer in the L1S team at Apple, you'll be at the core of embedded 5G/4G/multimode cellular firmware development within a silicon design group responsible for creating and productizing advanced cellular SoCs. This role requires expertise in all aspects of embedded software development and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
You'll design, implement, and verify Cellular Layer 1 control firmware for an innovative mobile wireless communications system. Your responsibilities include developing key scheduling and control algorithms, optimizing code for cycle, latency, and energy efficiency, and collaborating with global teams to optimize solutions. You'll work with other firmware and software designers to define interfaces with RF, physical layer, MAC/RRC, and other processor subsystems.
