As a Network Reliability Engineer at Apple, you'll be part of the Enterprise Networks team, playing a crucial role in maintaining and improving our global network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Optimizing network performance through analysis of traffic patterns and capacity requirements
- Implementing monitoring tools and procedures for proactive issue identification
- Automating network provisioning and resolving systematic problems
- Conducting capacity planning for future network growth
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Building and maintaining detailed network documentation
- Participating in on-call rotation every 6 weeks
Key qualifications include:
- Deep experience in Network Reliability or similar role
- Expertise in large-scale network infrastructure management
- Strong programming skills in Python, Ansible, Perl, Go
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPV6, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
- Experience with network equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in Network Reliability
- Generative AI expertise
- Industry certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP)
- Cloud networking experience
- Knowledge of SDN and network virtualization
