This role focuses on GPU Frontend Design Implementation Engineering at Apple's Austin location. The position involves optimizing and implementing designs for chips in hardware devices, working with various aspects of chip design including synthesis, power integrity, signoff checks, and Engineer Change Order implementations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Converting functional RTL code to digital logic gates in physical chip design
- Ensuring power domain integrity and interfaces
- Developing and maintaining verification flows
- Working closely with CAD teams and tool vendors
- Creating innovative processes for new chip designs
- Performing quality checks on RTL code
- Optimizing designs for performance, power, and area
Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VLSI design, HDL, scripting (Perl/Python), physical design concepts, synthesis techniques, and GPU architectures.

Responsibilities For GPU FE Design Implementation Engineer
- Optimize and implement designs for chips in hardware devices
- Design synthesis to convert functional Register Transfer Level code to digital logic gates
- Work on Power integrity checks
- Perform Signoff checks
- Implement Engineer Change Orders
- Work with CAD team and tool vendors
- Create innovative flows and processes
- Perform Lint checks
- Optimize logic designs for low power, low area, and high performance
Requirements For GPU FE Design Implementation Engineer
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Experience with VLSI design and timing
- Knowledge of HDL to understand design functionality
- Scripting in Perl and Python
- Physical design concepts knowledge
- Synthesis techniques and Boolean optimization experience
- Experience with simulation and debugging tools for RTL and Netlist validation
- Understanding of GPU architectures
