Description For Materials Engineer, Failure Analysis Labs

As a Materials Engineer in the Failure Analysis Labs at Apple, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects related to failure analysis and materials characterization. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills in a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading project management efforts for the Failure Analysis (FA) team
  2. Serving as the primary point of contact for project communications

  10. Coordinating with global teams across multiple time zones

Requirements For Materials Engineer, Failure Analysis Labs

  • Minimum B.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Management or a related engineering field with 3+ years industry experience
  • Experience with engineering management fundamentals and ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
  • Understanding of material characterization techniques (e.g. X-ray CT, SEM, FTIR, XPS, AFM, etc.)
