Description For Sensing System HW Engineer

Apple's Touch ID team is seeking a talented Sensing System Hardware Engineer to join their innovative group developing next-generation sensing technologies. This role combines hardware engineering expertise with sensor development, focusing on integrating MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors across Apple's product line including iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks.

The position involves working specifically on TouchID sensors that are crucial for security and user convenience across Apple products. You'll be responsible for schematic capture, module and flex design, while leading multi-functional integration discussions and conducting coexistence assessments. The role requires hands-on validation of module designs throughout the supply chain.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring strong analog and digital circuit design expertise, along with experience in flexible and rigid PCB design. Your knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity evaluation, and electrical failure analysis will be essential. The role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop, characterize, validate, and integrate TouchID sensors into Apple products.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $135,400 to $250,600, along with comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement benefits, and stock programs. You'll have opportunities for professional growth through education reimbursement and hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hardware engineer passionate about sensing technology to work on products that millions of people use daily. The role combines technical expertise with collaborative teamwork, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both detailed technical work and cross-functional collaboration.
