Description For Embedded Software Engineer

Aptiv, a global leader in automotive technology, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for their Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Monterrey, Mexico. This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Compute and Security, and User Experience products following Automotive SPICE standards.

The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive software systems, specifically focusing on active safety and body control production projects. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing real-time embedded systems, working with cross-regional teams, and ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards.

Responsibilities For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Develop software for active safety or body control production projects
  • Design, code, and test real-time embedded systems
  • Plan and coordinate software development activities with global sites
  • Design and implement internal and customer diagnostics SW
  • Perform static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Coordinate with cross regional teams
  • Ensure Automotive SPICE and Functional Safety process compliance

Requirements For Embedded Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Project management capabilities
  • Familiar with Embedded C on microcontroller architectures
