Facade Design Engineer

Assembly OSM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, technical facade engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves meticulous detailing of facades, conducting thorough analyses, researching materials and systems, and collaborating closely with project teams. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, creative, detail-oriented, and maintain a high level of professionalism.

As a member of the Product Design & Engineering team, you will play a key role in designing and engineering prefabricated wall assembly systems for large-scale residential projects in the mid to high rise genre, ensuring the highest standards of performance and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Joining a diverse team responsible for design, development, and product validation of Assembly's enclosure systems
• Contributing to the engineering and detailing of facade systems
• Preparing comprehensive facade detailing in 2D and 3D formats
• Utilizing specialized software for facade performance analysis
• Conducting materials and systems research
• Interpreting building codes and ensuring compliance
• Assisting in construction admin tasks
• Overseeing design reviews and site inspections
• Leading testing of exterior envelope systems
• Developing facade systems as standalone entities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in facade engineering
• 2 to 7 years of experience in design and detailing of facades in commercial projects
• Professional Engineering license in New York State or New Jersey (preferred)
• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D structural modeling software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with LEED or sustainable building projects

Assembly OSM offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $150,000, along with benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 PTO days per year, free One Medical and virtual healthcare services, commuter benefits, FSA and HSA, and a 401k plan.
