This pivotal role involves designing, building, and deploying data and software products both on-premise and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will lead the advancement of data maturity, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure. Responsibilities For Principal Data Engineer

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship on solution design/implementation
  • Oversee data engineering process and manage technical aspects of data projects
  • Develop architectural and design principles for data systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine data requirements
  • Contribute to cloud viability analysis and work planning
  • Design and implement security standards and configurations
  • Create and maintain solution design documents
  • Implement modern data analytics practices using Databricks, Snowflake, Salesforce
  • Design and maintain cloud-based applications on Azure and AWS

Requirements For Principal Data Engineer

Kubernetes
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, technical diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
  • 7+ years of programming and application system experience
  • Experience with cloud-native and non-cloud solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Platform services
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices and tools
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent in English, French is an asset
