Description For Senior Platform Engineer

Birdie, a B-Corp certified company and leading home healthcare technology platform, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their growing team. The company has raised $55M in funding and supports 4.8 million care visits monthly, making it the holder of Europe's largest structured community healthcare dataset.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the platform strategy and implementation at Birdie, working with cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes microservices architecture and AWS cloud infrastructure. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be instrumental in championing reliability and stability across the engineering organization, implementing SRE principles, and driving DevOps best practices.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes (EKS), and modern observability practices. You'll need strong coding abilities and experience with CI/CD pipelines, while being passionate about reliability engineering and problem-solving. The position requires someone who can handle ambiguity, deliver end-to-end initiatives, and act as a mentor to other team members.

Birdie offers an outstanding culture with competitive compensation (£88,000 - £110,000 plus equity), comprehensive benefits including private health insurance, and strong focus on professional development. The company provides flexible working arrangements with a UK base, regular team events, and various wellness perks.
