Responsibilities For Intermediate Mainframe Application Developer

  • Decomposing business requirements and translating them into detailed design specifications and code
  • Designing solutions, writing code, performing unit testing, developing appropriate artefacts / documentation
  • Leading detailed code-reviews and providing feedback
  • Supporting production issues, including independent root-cause analysis and diagnosis
  • Leading, managing, and implementing initiatives to deliver business objectives
  • Monitoring and tracking code and application performance

Requirements For Intermediate Mainframe Application Developer

  • 3+ years of experience with IBM mainframe technologies (z/OS, CICS, COBOL, TSO, DB2, VSAM, JCL, z/OS Connect)
  • Experience working in mainframe development supporting lending, credit, or investment applications
  • Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency through extensive education and business experience
