Description For Field Service Engineer, Ultrasound (Northern California & Oregon)

Boston Imaging, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Ultrasound systems. This role is primarily responsible for providing escalated onsite support for premium ultrasound imaging products within tier one hospital networks. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in Ultrasound and act as the go-to resource for difficult service issues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing customer-facing technical support and collaborating with biomed engineers
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues and coordinating corrective actions
  • Developing strong relationships with end users and participating in sales processes
  • Managing escalated technical issues promptly and professionally
  • Staying current with product changes through periodic visits to headquarters in South Korea
  • Supervising and training less experienced staff
  • Preparing monthly activity reports and maintaining service databases

The position requires:

  • Technical degree in electrical or software engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years in field service preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to be compliant with hospital credentialing requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound hardware and software systems

Requirements For Field Service Engineer, Ultrasound (Northern California & Oregon)

  • Technical degree in electrical or software engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in field service preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Strong working knowledge of Ultrasound hardware and software operating systems
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record
  • Fluent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office package
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
