Database Developer

Bounteous, a leading digital transformation consultancy, is seeking a Database Developer for their Montreal office. This senior-level position requires 5-10 years of experience working with relational databases, particularly DB2 Linux or Sybase. The role combines technical database management with information security responsibilities, making it ideal for professionals who excel in both areas.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office) and is part of a company that serves clients worldwide with over 4,000 team members across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA. As a Database Developer, you'll be responsible for implementing and managing data management practices, performance tuning, and mentoring team members while ensuring robust security measures are in place.

Key technical requirements include expertise in Linux platforms, scripting languages (Perl/Python), and strong knowledge of database performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience with stored procedures, query optimization, and database configurations. Additional experience with Greenplum, Data Lake, and CI/CD tools is advantageous, as is background in the finance domain.
